ChartStyler

Join the ChartStyler beta

ChartStyler will soon be available on the Adobe Marketplace. Before the release, we're testing it with InDesign users. As a beta tester you get early access to the plugin and a direct line to the developer: your feedback decides what gets fixed and improved first.

Beta Program Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 28 October 2026

These terms apply to everyone who takes part in the ChartStyler beta program. By signing up, you agree to them.

1. Who we are

The ChartStyler beta program is run by Els Bogaert, Wichelen, Belgium (enterprise number BE 0849.191.943). You can reach us at support@chartstyler.com.

2. Pre-release software

Beta versions of ChartStyler are unfinished. They can contain bugs, behave differently from the final version, and features can change or be removed. Save your work and keep backups of your documents while using a beta version.

3. Your licence to use the beta

We give you a personal, non-transferable right to install and use the beta versions we send you, for the duration of the beta program, including in your own client work. You may not share the installation files with others, sell or redistribute them, or try to take the software apart.

4. Test versions expire

Each test version stops working a set time after it is released (currently 30 days). We send new test versions during the program. When the beta program ends, beta versions stop working. Charts you made remain ordinary InDesign objects in your documents, but we can't guarantee that later versions of ChartStyler can still edit them.

5. Feedback

We welcome your feedback, bug reports and suggestions, and we may use them freely to improve ChartStyler, without any obligation or payment to you. You are not required to send feedback, but the beta program works best when you do.

6. Sharing

You are welcome to talk about ChartStyler and share charts you made with it. Please don't publish reviews of a beta version as if it were the finished product.

7. Your data

ChartStyler does not collect usage data or logs automatically. You can choose to send us documents, logs or bug reports: they help us understand how you use the software. Please don't include personal or confidential information about you or your clients in what you send us. We use the details you give us when signing up, and anything you choose to send us, only to run the beta program, send you test versions and fix problems. We keep this data for the duration of the beta program plus 45 days, and do not share it with third parties other than the services we need to run the program (such as the sign-up form and email). You can leave the program and ask us to delete your data at any time by emailing support@chartstyler.com. If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).

8. Cost

Taking part in the beta program is free. It does not commit you to buying a ChartStyler subscription after the release.

9. No warranty and limited liability

Beta versions are provided "as is", without any warranty. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any damage or loss resulting from the use of a beta version, including lost work, damaged documents or missed deadlines.

10. Ending your participation

You can leave the beta program at any time by telling us. We can end the program, or your participation in it, at any time, for example when ChartStyler is released.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms during the beta program. We will tell participants by email about important changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.

12. Applicable law

These terms are governed by the laws of Belgium.
